North Carolina High School Football - Carrboro tops Jordan-Matthews

August 30, 2024: Siler City, NC 27344

The Carrboro Jaguars football squad scored 27 points and limited the host Jordan-Matthews Jets to 0 in the Jaguars non-league triumph on Friday.

The Jaguars now sport a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to East Chapel Hill for a non-league test on Friday, September 6. Carrboro will meet a Wildcats squad coming off a 7-0 non-league loss to Montgomery Central (Troy, NC). The Wildcats record now stands at 1-1.

With the defeat, Jordan-Matthews drops to 1-1 on the campaign. The Jets host Cummings (Burlington, NC) to meet the Cavaliers in a 1A/2A Mid-Carolina test on Friday, September 6. The Cavaliers come into the test with a record of 1-1. Cummings lost 28-21 in their recent non-league test against Western Alamance (Elon, NC)
