The Central Valley Cougars (Greeley, NE) football knocked off the visiting Riverside Chargers (Cedar Rapids, NE), 50-42 in Friday's non-league outing.

The Cougars now sport a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to West Holt for a non-league outing on Thursday, September 5. Central Valley will clash with a Huskies squad coming off a 36-14 non-league win over Elkhorn Valley (Tilden, NE). The Huskies record now stands at 1-0.

With the defeat, Riverside drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Chargers host Twin Loup (Sargent, NE) to clash with the Wolves in a non-league outing on Friday, September 6. The Wolves come into the outing with a record of 0-1. Twin Loup lost 42-33 in their recent non-league outing against St. Mary's (O'Neill, NE)
