The Glenvar Highlanders walloped the host Galax Maroon Tide football team by a score of 34-0 in Friday's non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Highlanders play the Liberty Minutemen (Bedford, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, September 6. Glenvar will attempt to improve on its 1-0 season record. The Minutemen go into the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 51-6 non-league loss to William Byrd (Vinton, VA).
The Maroon Tide (0-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Graham (Bluefield, VA). The G-Men go into the non-league challenge with a 1-0 record. In their last challenge, Graham bounced Bluefield (Bluefield, WV), 10-0, in a non-league challenge.
