The Springfield Cougars walloped the visiting Marple Newtown Fightin' Tigers football team by a score of 48-14 in Friday's league challenge.

In their next game, the Cougars play the Conestoga Pioneers (Berwyn, PA) in a Central challenge, on Friday, September 6. Springfield will attempt to improve on its 2-0 season record. The Pioneers go into the challenge with a 0-2 record after their 22-20 league loss to Upper Darby (Drexel Hill, PA).

The Fightin' Tigers (1-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Upper Darby (Drexel Hill, PA). The Royals go into the Central challenge with a 2-0 record. In their last challenge, Upper Darby bounced Conestoga (Berwyn, PA), 22-20, in a league challenge.
