The Raiders (10-16) will now prepare for their contest against Sacred Heart (Hallettsville, TX). The Indians enter the non-league contest with a 5-6 record. In their last contest, Sacred Heart got by Shiner (Shiner, TX), 2-0, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Cardinals meet the Iola Bulldogs (Iola, TX) in a non-league contest, on Friday, August 30. St. Paul will attempt to upgrade on its 4-5 season record. The Bulldogs enter the contest with a 19-5 record after their 2-1 non-league win over Burton (Burton, TX).
