In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Andover Central Jaguars volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Newton Railroaders.

The Jaguars (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Maize (Maize, KS). The Eagles come into the non-league challenge with a 0-0 record.

Next, the Railroaders play the Emporia Spartans (Emporia, KS) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, August 30. Newton will attempt to upgrade on its 0-5 season record.
