The Metro Academy Mavericks volleyball team scored 2 points and restricted the host Center Place Golden Eagles to 1 in the Mavericks non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Mavericks now possess a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to Marais des Cygnes Valley for a non-league outing on Tuesday, September 2.

The Golden Eagles (8-1) will now prepare for their match against El Dorado Christian (El Dorado Springs, MO). The Buffalos enter the MOKAN Christian match with a 0-2 record. In their last match, El Dorado Christian was tipped by Clinton Christian Academy (Clinton, MO), 2-0, in a league match.
