Illinois High School Volleyball - Mercer County Elmwood

The Mercer County Golden Eagles volleyball squad (Aledo, IL), was defeated 2-0 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Elmwood Trojans (Elmwood, IL)

With the win, Elmwood improves its record to 5-1 on the season. The Trojans travel to Abingdon/Avon (Abingdon, IL) to encounter the Tornadoes in a non-league battle on Monday, September 1. The Tornadoes go into the battle with a record of 0-1. Abingdon/Avon lost 2-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Alleman (Rock Island, IL)

Next, the Golden Eagles meet the Orion Chargers (Orion, IL) in a Three Rivers challenge, on Tuesday, September 2. Mercer County will attempt to upgrade on its 3-3 season record. The Chargers enter the challenge with a 4-3 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Peoria Notre Dame (Peoria, IL).
