Illinois High School Volleyball - Jones edged by Hinsdale South

Hinsdale South Hornets (Darien, IL) boosters left the game thrilled Saturday as they saw their volleyball squad nudge the host Jones Eagles (Chicago, IL), 2-1 in a non-league test.

With the win, Hinsdale South improves its record to 2-4 on the year. The Hornets host Homewood-Flossmoor (Flossmoor, IL) to meet the Vikings in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, September 3. The Vikings enter the challenge with a record of 5-2. Homewood-Flossmoor won 2-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Stagg (Palos Hills, IL)

Next, the Eagles meet the Champaign Central Maroons (Champaign, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, August 30. Jones will attempt to improve on its 2-5 season record. The Maroons go into the test with a 0-1 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to St. Thomas More (Champaign, IL).
