The Independence Mustangs volleyball team scored 2 points and restricted the visiting Osage Green Devils to 0 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Mustangs now have a 2-2 record. They play next when they host Vinton-Shellsburg for a non-league outing on Tuesday, September 2. Independence will confront a Vikings squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Benton (Van Horne, IA). The Vikings record now stands at 0-1.

The Green Devils (1-1) will now prepare for their game against Central Springs (Manly, IA). The Panthers go into the non-league game with a 0-4 record. In their last game, Central Springs was topped by St. Ansgar (St. Ansgar, IA), 3-0, in a league outing.
