Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Mesilla Valley Christian School SonBlazers (Las Cruces, NM) and the visiting Lordsburg Mavericks (Lordsburg, NM), observed Mesilla Valley Christian School's volleyball team hold off Lordsburg by a count of 3-2.

The SonBlazers (4-1) will now prepare for their contest against Hot Springs (Truth or Consequences, NM). The Tigers enter the non-league contest with a 3-0 record. In their last contest, Hot Springs got by Bosque (Albuquerque, NM), 3-0, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Mavericks battle the Tse' Yi' Gai Dine Warriors (Cuba, NM) in a non-league contest, on Friday, September 5. Lordsburg will attempt to move on its 2-1 season record.
