The Mater Academy East Las Vegas Knights held off the host Somerset Academy Losee Lions volleyball team by a margin of 2-1 in Saturday's non-league outing.

The Knights now possess a 5-4 record. They play next when they travel to Sunrise Mountain for a 4A Southern - Sun outing on Monday, September 8. Mater Academy East Las Vegas will play a Miners team coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon (Henderson, NV). The Miners record now stands at 2-7.

The Lions (0-2) will now prepare for their game against Legacy (North Las Vegas, NV). The Longhorns enter the 4A Southern - Sun game with a 3-10 record. In their last game, Legacy was tipped by Somerset Sky Pointe (Las Vegas, NV), 3-2, in a non-league game.
