In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Rincon/University Rangers volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Mountain View Mountain Lions.

The Rangers (4-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Marana (Tucson, AZ). The Tigers come into the non-league challenge with a 2-1 record. In their last challenge, Marana edged Pueblo (Tucson, AZ), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Mountain Lions play the Buena Colts (Sierra Vista, AZ) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, September 2. Mountain View will attempt to upgrade on its 2-3 season record. The Colts come into the challenge with a 4-4 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Tucson High Magnet School (Tucson, AZ).
