Nashville Hornets (Nashville, IL) boosters were pleased Saturday as they witnessed their volleyball team tip the visiting Pinckneyville Panthers (Pinckneyville, IL), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Hornets (5-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Breese Central (Breese, IL). The Cougars come into the non-league challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, Breese Central was nudged by Mascoutah (Mascoutah, IL), 2-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Panthers meet the Jackson Fighting Indians (Jackson, MO) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, September 3. Pinckneyville will attempt to upgrade on its 5-1 season record.
