The White Oak Roughnecks volleyball squad (White Oak, TX), was edged 2-1 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Pleasant Grove Hawks (Texarkana, TX)

With the win, Pleasant Grove improves its record to 9-5 on the season. The Hawks travel to Pine Tree (Longview, TX) to encounter the Pirates in a non-league battle on Saturday, August 30. The Pirates go into the battle with a record of 13-8. Pine Tree lost 2-1 in their recent non-league battle against Pleasant Grove (Texarkana, TX)

The Roughnecks now have a 12-11 record. They take the field next when they host Madisonville for a non-league challenge on Saturday, August 30. White Oak will meet a Mustangs team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Central Heights (Nacogdoches, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 19-5.
