Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Sherrard Tigers (Sherrard, IL) and the visiting Princeton Tigers (Princeton, IL), observed Sherrard's volleyball team hold off Princeton by a tally of 2-1.

The Tigers (4-0) will now prepare for their contest against Rockridge (Taylor Ridge, IL). The Rockets go into the Three Rivers test with a 1-1 record. In their last test, Rockridge was edged by East Moline United (East Moline, IL), 2-1, in a non-league test.

The Tigers now own a 3-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Newman Central Catholic for a Three Rivers test on Tuesday, September 2. Princeton will encounter a Comets squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Sterling (Sterling, IL). The Comets record now stands at 1-2.
