Sayre Spartans (Lexington, KY) backers were pleased Saturday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the visiting Raceland Rams (Raceland, KY), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Spartans (5-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Blazer (Ashland, KY). The Tomcats come into the non-league challenge with a 5-0 record. In their last challenge, Blazer beat Rowan County (Morehead, KY), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Rams meet the Russell Red Devils (Russell, KY) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, August 30. Raceland will attempt to upgrade on its 3-4 season record. The Red Devils go into the test with a 5-2 record after their 3-0 league win over Raceland (Raceland, KY).
