Texas High School Volleyball - Taft tips Refugio

The crowd at Saturday's non-league battle between the Taft Greyhounds (Taft, TX) and the visiting Refugio Bobcats (Refugio, TX), saw Taft's volleyball squad nudge Refugio by a score of 2-1.

With the win, Taft improves its record to 5-3 on the season. The Greyhounds host Odem (Odem, TX) to encounter the Owls in a 3A Region IV District 29 contest on Tuesday, September 2. The Owls enter the contest with a record of 3-6. Odem won 2-0 in their recent non-league contest against Ben Bolt (Ben Bolt, TX)

Next, the Bobcats battle the George West Longhorns (George West, TX) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, September 2. Refugio will attempt to move on its 10-12 season record. The Longhorns go into the battle with a 12-9 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to John F. Kennedy (San Antonio, TX).
