Texas High School Volleyball - Royal edged by Sam Rayburn

Sam Rayburn Texans (Pasadena, TX) boosters left the game thrilled Saturday as they saw their volleyball squad nudge the visiting Royal Falcons (Brookshire, TX), 2-1 in a non-league test.

With the triumph, Sam Rayburn upgrades its record to 2-7 on the campaign. The Texans host South Houston (South Houston, TX) to meet the Trojans in a 6A Region III District 22 challenge on Tuesday, September 2. The Trojans come into the challenge with a record of 2-20. South Houston lost 3-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Klein Forest (Houston, TX)

Next, the Falcons face the Houston Math Science & Tech Tigers (Houston, TX) in a non-league test, on Wednesday, September 3. Royal will attempt to advance on its 2-7 season record.
