The Layton Lancers (Layton, UT) volleyball overcame the host West Panthers (Salt Lake City, UT), 3-1 in Tuesday's non-league outing.
With the win, Layton upgrades its record to 3-5 on the year. The Lancers travel to Syracuse (Syracuse, UT) to face the Titans in a 6A Region 1 outing on Thursday, September 2. The Titans go into the outing with a record of 3-0. Syracuse won 3-1 in their recent non-league outing against Olympus (Salt Lake City, UT)
The Panthers now own a 1-7 record. They play next when they host Hunter for a 6A Region 2 outing on Thursday, September 2. West will face a Wolverines squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Taylorsville (Taylorsville, UT). The Wolverines record now stands at 5-5.
