In Wednesday's non-league battle, the host Somerset College Prep Academy Spartans volleyball team scored a tight 2-1 triumph over the John Carroll Catholic Rams.
The Spartans (1-0) will now prepare for their battle against Calvary Christian Academy (Port St. Lucie, FL). The Panthers come into the non-league battle with a 1-1 record. In their last battle, Calvary Christian Academy nudged Morningside Academy (Port St. Lucie, FL), 2-1, in a non-league battle.
