Cass Colonels (White, GA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Woodland Wildcats (Cartersville, GA), 9-6 in a league challenge.

The Colonels now own a 6-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Pickens for a non-league challenge on Thursday, September 1. Cass will face a Dragons squad coming off a 8-5 non-league win over Union County (Blairsville, GA). The Dragons record now stands at 7-6.

With the loss, Woodland falls to 6-6 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Calhoun (Calhoun, GA) to face the Yellow Jackets in a 5A Region 7 challenge on Tuesday, September 6. The Yellow Jackets enter the challenge with a record of 9-3. Calhoun won 9-5 in their recent non-league challenge against Ringgold (Ringgold, GA)
