Trion Bulldogs (Trion, GA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Dade County Wolverines (Trenton, GA), 8-4 in a league challenge.

The Bulldogs now own a 7-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Darlington for a 1A D-I Region 7 challenge on Thursday, September 1. Trion will battle a Tigers squad coming off a 12-4 league loss to Armuchee (Rome, GA). The Tigers record now stands at 2-4.

With the loss, Dade County falls to 5-6 on the campaign. The Wolverines travel to Mt. Zion (Mt. Zion, GA) to battle the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, September 6. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 4-5. Mt. Zion lost 10-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Temple (Temple, GA)
