In Wednesday's non-league outing, the visiting Perry Panthers softball team scored a close 7-4 win over the Upson-Lee Knights.
Coming up next, the Panthers encounter the Griffin Bears (Griffin, GA) in a 4A Region 2 outing, on Tuesday, September 6. Perry will attempt to improve on its 5-4 season record. The Bears enter the outing with a 2-3 record after their 12-3 league win over Spalding (Griffin, GA).
The Knights (1-11) will now prepare for their outing against Peach County (Fort Valley, GA). The Trojans enter the 3A Region 2 outing with a 4-3 record. In their last outing, Peach County was routed by Mary Persons (Forsyth, GA), 12-0, in a league outing.
