The crowd at Wednesday's non-league bout between the Knightdale Knights (Knightdale, NC) and the host Southeast Raleigh Bulldogs (Raleigh, NC), saw Knightdale's volleyball squad beat Southeast Raleigh by a tally of 3-0.
With the win, Knightdale upgrades its record to 3-4 on the year. The Knights travel to Enloe (Raleigh, NC) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Tuesday, September 6. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 6-1. Enloe lost 3-1 in their recent non-league bout against Wake Forest (Wake Forest, NC)
The Bulldogs now own a 1-4 record. They play next when they travel to Cleveland for a Greater Neuse River 4A bout on Thursday, September 1. Southeast Raleigh will play a Rams squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Wake Forest (Wake Forest, NC). The Rams record now stands at 6-1.
Match Summary
The Lady Knights really worked together as a team to finalize the end results. They are the team that did not get a pre or off season to prepare for, but every game they show up proving that they have what it takes to be a true team with so much potential. Caleigh # 8 (Sr.) is our setter who helps run the plays on the court along with Kiley # 0(Sr.) libero. Deanna # 13 caught on to all the tips our opponents tried to sneak by with. The team did hit a bump on set 3, which could have cause them to go to set 4. All in all I am just so excited to see the games as they continue to come together and grow.
