The Nixon-Smiley Mustangs volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the visiting Yoakum Bulldogs to 2 in the Mustangs non-league victory on Wednesday.

The Mustangs now have a 6-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Three Rivers for a non-league game on Friday, September 2. Nixon-Smiley will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Sinton (Sinton, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 12-8.

The Bulldogs (11-6) will now prepare for their game against Smithville (Smithville, TX). The Tigers enter the non-league game with a 8-20 record. In their last game, Smithville was nudged by Columbus (Columbus, TX), 3-0, in a non-league game.
