In Thursday's league game, the Gladstone Braves (Gladstone, MI) football team were victorious over the visiting Negaunee Miners (Negaunee, MI), by a score of 42-14.

The Braves (2-0) will now prepare for their game against Kingsford (Kingsford, MI). The Flivvers come into the non-league game with a 2-0 record. In their last game, Kingsford knocked off Houghton (Houghton, MI), 34-0, in a league game.

The Miners now sport a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they host Calumet for a Western Peninsula - Copper game on Friday, September 8. Negaunee will meet a Copper Kings team coming off a 42-22 league win over Westwood (Ishpeming, MI). The Copper Kings record now stands at 1-1.
