The Gwinn Modeltowners thwarted the visiting West Iron County Wykons football team by a count of 32-6 in Thursday's league outing.
With the win, Gwinn upgrades its record to 1-1 on the season. The Modeltowners travel to Manistique (Manistique, MI) to encounter the Emeralds in a Western Peninsula - Iron outing on Friday, September 8. The Emeralds go into the outing with a record of 0-2. Manistique lost 28-20 in their recent league outing against Ishpeming (Ishpeming, MI)

The Purple Hornets go into the outing with a record of 0-1. L'Anse lost 56-14 in their recent non-league outing against Hancock (Hancock, MI)
