The South Stokes Sauras topped the host Mount Airy Granite Bears volleyball team by a score of 2-0 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Sauras now have a 4-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to East Wilkes for a non-league test on Tuesday, September 5. South Stokes will confront a Cardinals team coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Elkin (Elkin, NC). The Cardinals record now stands at 5-2.

The Granite Bears (0-7) will now prepare for their test against Starmount (Boonville, NC). The Rams enter the non-league test with a 6-1 record. In their last test, Starmount gained a win over North Stokes (Danbury, NC), 2-0, in a non-league test.
