Oklahoma High School Softball - McAlester can't get by Durant

August 31, 2023: McAlester, OK 74501

In Thursday's league contest, the Durant Lions (Durant, OK) softball team held off the host McAlester Buffaloes (McAlester, OK), by a margin of 7-6.

With the triumph, Durant moves its record to 9-12 on the year. The Lions host Tahlequah (Tahlequah, OK) to play the Tigers in a 5A District 4 contest on Saturday, September 2. The Tigers come into the contest with a record of 13-10. Tahlequah won 5-0 in their recent league contest against Glenpool (Glenpool, OK)

In their next game, the Buffaloes play the Collinsville Cardinals (Collinsville, OK) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, September 5. McAlester will attempt to move on its 6-12 season record. The Cardinals come into the contest with a 6-11 record after their 4-2 non-league loss to Claremore (Claremore, OK).
