The Rock Valley Rockets held off the host Akron-Westfield Westerners volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Rockets now have a 3-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sibley-Ocheyedan for a Siouxland test on Thursday, September 7. Rock Valley will confront a Generals team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over West Bend-Mallard (West Bend, IA). The Generals record now stands at 3-2.

The Westerners (1-4) will now prepare for their test against Spirit Lake (Spirit Lake, IA). The Indians enter the non-league test with a 1-5 record.
