The North Wilkes Vikings volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the visiting Alleghany Trojans to 0 in the Vikings non-league victory on Thursday.

The Vikings now have a 6-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to West Wilkes for a Foothills 2A game on Tuesday, September 5. North Wilkes will confront a Blackhawks team coming off a 3-1 league loss to Forbush (East Bend, NC). The Blackhawks record now stands at 3-4.

The Trojans (4-3) will now prepare for their game against North Stokes (Danbury, NC). The Vikings enter the Northwest 1A game with a 4-3 record. In their last game, North Stokes gained a win over Starmount (Boonville, NC), 3-1, in a league game.
