The Amherst County Lancers volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the visiting Nelson County Governors to 1 in the Lancers non-league victory on Thursday.

The Lancers now possess a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Liberty Christian for a Seminole game on Tuesday, September 5. Amherst County will meet a Bulldogs team coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Lord Botetourt (Daleville, VA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 4-1.

The Governors (0-4) will now prepare for their game against Buffalo Gap (Swoope, VA). The Bison enter the non-league game with a 2-1 record. In their last game, Buffalo Gap defeated Mountain View (Quicksburg, VA), 3-0, in a non-league game.
