North Carolina High School Volleyball - Owen can't hold off Draughn

August 31, 2023: Black Mountain, NC 28711

In Thursday's league battle, the visiting Draughn Wildcats volleyball team scored a tight 3-2 triumph over the Owen Warhorses.

The Wildcats (6-2) will now prepare for their battle against Avery County (Newland, NC). The Vikings come into the Western Highlands 1A/2A battle with a 2-5 record. In their last battle, Avery County was edged by Rosman (Rosman, NC), 3-0, in a league battle.

Next, the Warhorses battle the Mitchell Mountaineers (Bakersville, NC) in a Western Highlands 1A/2A match, on Tuesday, September 5. Owen will attempt to better on its 4-2 season record. The Mountaineers come into the match with a 1-6 record after their 3-0 league loss to Madison (Marshall, NC).
