The Eureka Hornets topped the visiting Fieldcrest Knights volleyball team by a score of 2-0 in Thursday's league test.
The Hornets now have a 6-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lexington for a Heart of Illinois test on Tuesday, September 5. Eureka will confront a Minutemen team coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Pontiac (Pontiac, IL). The Minutemen record now stands at 5-3.
The Knights (6-1) will now prepare for their test against LeRoy (LeRoy, IL). The Panthers enter the Heart of Illinois test with a 6-2 record. In their last test, LeRoy gained a win over Armstrong (Armstrong, IL), 2-0, in a non-league test.
