The Grainger Grizzlies topped the visiting Union County Patriots volleyball team by a score of 3-0 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Grizzlies now have a 3-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Gibbs for a AA District 3 test on Thursday, September 7. Grainger will confront a Eagles team coming off a 3-2 non-league loss to West (Knoxville, TN). The Eagles record now stands at 5-6.

The Patriots (0-4) will now prepare for their test against Volunteer (Church Hill, TN). The Falcons enter the non-league test with a 8-1 record. In their last test, Volunteer gained a win over Gate City (Gate City, VA), 3-1, in a non-league test.
