The Killdeer Cowboys held off the host Washburn Cardinals volleyball team by a score of 3-2 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Cowboys now have a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host New England for a B - Region 7 test on Thursday, September 7. Killdeer will confront a Tigers team coming off a 3-1 league win over Heart River co-op [Belfield/South Heart] (Belfield, ND). The Tigers record now stands at 1-7.
The Cardinals (0-1) will now prepare for their test against Wilton/Wing (Wilton, ND). The Miners enter the B - Region 5 test with a 0-2 record. In their last test, Wilton/Wing was nudged by Richardton-Taylor (Richardton, ND), 3-0, in a non-league test.
