North Carolina High School Volleyball - Mitchell routed by Madison

The Mitchell Mountaineers volleyball team (Bakersville, NC), was dropped 3-0 in Thursday's league challenge with the host Madison Patriots (Marshall, NC)

The Patriots (4-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Asheville School (Independent) (Asheville, NC). The Blues enter the non-league challenge with a 1-2 record. In their last challenge, Asheville School (Independent) was dropped by Gaston Christian (Gastonia, NC), 3-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Mountaineers encounter the Owen Warhorses (Black Mountain, NC) in a Western Highlands 1A/2A challenge, on Tuesday, September 5. Mitchell will attempt to move on its 1-6 season record. The Warhorses enter the challenge with a 4-2 record after their 3-2 league loss to Draughn (Valdese, NC).
