In Thursday's league contest, the St. Mary's Academy Belles (Inglewood, CA) volleyball squad knocked off the visiting St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy Warriors (Downey, CA), by a margin of 3-0.

Next up, the Belles battle the Inglewood Sentinels (Inglewood, CA) in a non-league contest, on Friday, September 1. St. Mary's Academy will attempt to better on its 4-1 season record. The Sentinels come into the contest with a 0-6 record after their 3-1 non-league loss to Animo Leadership (Inglewood, CA).

With the loss, St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy drops to 1-2 on the season.
