North Carolina High School Volleyball - Surry Central over Wilkes Central

The crowd at Thursday's league bout between the Surry Central Golden Eagles (Dobson, NC) and the visiting Wilkes Central Eagles (Wilkesboro, NC), saw Surry Central's volleyball squad beat Wilkes Central by a tally of 3-0.

With the win, Surry Central upgrades its record to 4-3 on the year. The Golden Eagles host Elkin (Elkin, NC) to play the Buckin' Elks in a non-league bout on Tuesday, September 5. The Buckin' Elks go into the bout with a record of 1-7. Elkin won 3-0 in their recent league bout against East Wilkes (Ronda, NC)

The Eagles now own a 1-5 record. They play next when they host East Surry for a Foothills 2A bout on Tuesday, September 5. Wilkes Central will play a Cardinals squad coming off a 3-0 league win over North Surry (Mount Airy, NC). The Cardinals record now stands at 7-0.
