Indiana High School Volleyball - Union County over Winchester Community

August 31, 2023: Liberty, IN 47353

The crowd at Thursday's league bout between the Union County Patriots (Liberty, IN) and the visiting Winchester Community Golden Falcons (Winchester, IN), saw Union County's volleyball squad beat Winchester Community by a tally of 3-0.

With the win, Union County upgrades its record to 9-4 on the year. The Patriots host Cambridge City Lincoln (Cambridge City, IN) to play the Golden Eagles in a Tri-Eastern bout on Thursday, September 7. The Golden Eagles go into the bout with a record of 5-8. Cambridge City Lincoln won 3-1 in their recent non-league bout against Shenandoah (Middletown, IN)

The Golden Falcons now own a 4-9 record. They play next when they travel to Monroe Central for a non-league bout on Tuesday, September 5. Winchester Community will play a Golden Bears squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Cowan (Muncie, IN). The Golden Bears record now stands at 3-4.

The Lady Falcons traveled to Union County Thursday evening to face the Lady Patriots in a TEC Conference Match-up. The Lady Falcons suffered their first conference loss losing to the Lady Patriots in 3 with the following scores: 21-25, 12-25, 7-25. The Lady Falcons are now 2-1 in conference play.
In the JV Match, the Lady Falcons also lost to the Lady Patriots in 2 with the following scores: 12-25, 20-25.
