Nebraska High School Softball - South Sioux City bested by Ponca

August 31, 2024: South Sioux City, NE 68776

The Ponca Indians triumphed over the host South Sioux City Cardinals softball squad by a count of 13-4 in Saturday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Indians meet the Guardian Angels Central Catholic Bluejays (West Point, NE) in a C District challenge, on Thursday, September 5. Ponca will attempt to upgrade on its 1-7 season record. The Bluejays enter the challenge with a 7-0 record after their 4-1 non-league win over Aquinas (David City, NE).

The Cardinals (1-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Duchesne/Roncalli (Omaha, NE). The enter the non-league challenge with a 2-3 record. In their last challenge, Duchesne/Roncalli overcame Ponca (Ponca, NE), 11-0, in a non-league challenge.
