In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Avalon Lancers volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Acaciawood Golden Eagles.

The Lancers (9-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Gahr (Cerritos, CA). The Gladiators come into the non-league challenge with a 6-6 record. In their last challenge, Gahr was nudged by Cerritos (Cerritos, CA), 3-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Golden Eagles meet the Ambassador Lions (Torrance, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, August 31. Acaciawood will attempt to upgrade on its 9-2 season record. The Lions come into the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Muir (Pasadena, CA).
