The El Capitan Gauchos volleyball team scored 2 points and restricted the host Hawaii Prep Ka Makani to 0 in the Gauchos non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Gauchos now have a 2-5 record. They play next when they host Pitman for a non-league outing on Tuesday, September 3. El Capitan will play a Pride team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Ripon Christian (Ripon, CA). The Pride record now stands at 5-0.

With the loss, Hawaii Prep drops to 3-1 on the campaign. The Ka makani travel to Kohala (Kapaau, HI) to play the Cowboys in a Big Island I outing on Thursday, September 5. The Cowboys come into the outing with a record of 1-2. Kohala lost 3-0 in their recent league outing against Parker (Kamuela, HI)
