In Saturday's non-league match, the Lopez Lobos (Brownsville, TX) volleyball squad prevailed the host San Perlita Trojans (San Perlita, TX), by a count of 2-0.

Next up, the Lobos confront the Progreso Red Ants (Progreso, TX) in a non-league match, on Saturday, August 31. Lopez will attempt to move on its 16-6 season record. The Red Ants enter the match with a 1-1 record after their 2-0 non-league win over IDEA Edinburg College Prep (Edinburg, TX).
