In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Sterling Golden Warriors volleyball team scored a 2-0 victory over the Marengo Indians.

The Golden Warriors (5-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Rockford East (Rockford, IL). The E-Rabs enter the non-league challenge with a 0-2 record. In their last challenge, Rockford East was beaten by Guilford (Rockford, IL), 2-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Indians meet the Plano Reapers (Plano, IL) in a Kishwaukee River challenge, on Wednesday, September 4. Marengo will attempt to upgrade on its 3-3 season record. The Reapers enter the challenge with a 0-5 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Illinois Lutheran (Crete, IL).
