The Monroe County Falcons volleyball team scored 2 points and restricted the visiting Metcalfe County Hornets to 0 in the Falcons league triumph on Saturday.

The Falcons now possess a 5-1 record. They play next when they host Cumberland County for a non-league outing on Saturday, August 31. Monroe County will clash with a Panthers team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Hart County (Munfordville, KY). The Panthers record now stands at 4-2.

With the loss, Metcalfe County drops to 3-4 on the campaign. The Hornets host Russell County (Russell Springs, KY) to clash with the Lakers in a District 16 outing on Tuesday, September 3. The Lakers come into the outing with a record of 7-2. Russell County won 3-0 in their recent league outing against Clinton County (Albany, KY)
