Crawford County Eagles (Roberta, GA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Taylor County Vikings (Butler, GA), 8-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Eagles now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Marion County for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, August 9.

With the loss, Taylor County falls to 1-1 on the campaign. The Vikings host Rutland (Macon, GA) to battle the Hurricanes in a non-league challenge on Monday, August 8. The Hurricanes enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
