The crowd at Monday's league bout between the Simpson Academy Cougars (Mendenhall, MS) and the host Park Place Christian Academy Crusaders (Pearl, MS), observed Simpson Academy's softball team notch a victory over Park Place Christian Academy by a tally of 16-1.

The Cougars (9-1) will now prepare for their bout against Oak Forest Academy (Amite, LA). The Yellowjackets go into the non-league bout with a 4-0 record.

In their next game, the Crusaders battle the Briarfield Academy Rebels (Lake Providence, LA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, August 10. Park Place Christian Academy will attempt to advance on its 0-1 season record. The Rebels go into the bout with a 6-2 record after their 3-2 non-league win over Prairie View Academy (Bastrop, LA).
