With the triumph, Murray County improves its record to 3-1 on the year. The Indians travel to Chattooga (Summerville, GA) to face the Indians in a non-league game on Friday, August 9. The Indians enter the game with a record of 1-0. Chattooga won 10-0 in their recent non-league game against Pepperell (Lindale, GA)

The Bobcats now hold a 1-4 record. They play next when they travel to Ridgeland for a 3A Region 7 game on Monday, August 12. Gilmer will face a Panthers squad coming off a 12-0 non-league win over North Murray (Chatsworth, GA). The Panthers record now stands at 2-5.
